Concept
Music is communication.
The Story
Someone enters an old, dusty and abandoned music room by accident. As the light comes in the room from the open door, two instruments -an Harp and a Contrabass- get again the chance to see and communicate with each other after a long period of darkness. The two old friends are so happy to glance at each other again and communicate with excitement through their own music. But, as their musical talking escalates, the person who accidentally opened the door returns and the door closes again, leaving the two instruments in the dark. However, darkness does not discourage the two old friends this time, who continue to communicate and be happy to have found each other.
The Storyboard
The Music Room story and storyboard was created by Elpida Panourgia in 2015, as a proposal for a short 3D animation film at Bournemouth University, UK. The intention for this project was to create a 1 min 3D animation short film that tells a beautiful story in a short period of time. The Music Room storyboard and story concept is one of our favorites because of its wonderful potential. This story concept is not only great for inspiring the production of an animation project, but also for creating a beautiful musical score, which always is very important to us.
