True love and friendship can change the world.

The story

A lazy dog with self-destruction behavior finds a new friend in the face of his worst enemy, an immigrant cat that arrived in the city. The cat who is clever and kind, feels sympathy for the dog and makes big efforts in order to save him from his self-destruction habits. And because big changes come from small things, the cat helps the dog and the other animals in the city understand that when we care for our own home, we eventually start to care for making the whole world a better place. Eventually, by implementing small changes into everyone’s destructive behaviors, the dog’s home starts to change for the better, then the neighborhood and finally the whole city. All the animals have now become thoughtful individuals and citizens, who care about the others and their environment and have achieved great things because they decided to work all together as a team.

The Animated Scenes

The short animation scenes and story illustrations were created by Elpida Panourgia in 2015 as a commission for the theatrical play for children «Dog with a Home», which is based on the original book stories written by the writer Galateia Soureli. The animated scenes served as a background video installation in the live theatrical play and complemented the action and the story plot.
