Symeon Kyriakopoulos – Ballet dancer and instructor, Founder of The Crossword Ballet company London, UK
The Crossword Ballet is a small dance company that was created in 2014 by the dancer and instructor Symeon Kyriakopoulos, in London UK. The philosophy and dancing style of the Crossword Ballet is centered to the story of a ballerina’s journey into warriorhood. Through ballet the dancers translate the heroine’s story into movement and sentiment and describe to the viewer how the peaceful dancer became a powerful warrior by overcoming big internal and external obstacles using her feminine power. This pivotal theme that combines the femininity of the dancer and the masculine element of the warrior is apparent in the graphic design of Crossword Ballet’s identity. The logo itself depicts a sword, a prop that the dancers use as they dance, and has a minimal, elegant and feminine style. We believe that this logo depicts in the best way the identity and mission of the Crossword Ballet.
