Description

Yarrow Stigma is a Visual Novel (VN) Game based on the concept of the battle that art and artists face every day to save themselves from extinction, in a hostile world where technological achievement eliminates art and sensibilities. In the world of the game Artists are called Yarrows. Every Yarrow who bares the stigma of the yarrow flower, is hunted down by the government. The Game’s main protagonist is Troy, a young Yarrow glassmaker who tries to solve the mystery behind the sudden disappearance of his best friend Matthew, while unveiling the truth about his artistic powers and origins.

For the visual identity of the Yarrow Stigma VN game, we wanted to create a more elaborate design, with much detail, resembling a stained-glass window art, in order to give a visual hint about the powers of the main protagonist of the game. The image depicted in the glass artwork is a Yarrow flower, as the name of the game implies and it is the same yarrow flower that appears as a stigma on the bodies of the Yarrows when they are born. The colors used in the logo design, are blues and purples with some turquoise accents, in order to create an anticipation for the mysterious atmosphere and theme of the game.
